Does anyone know what a ford lightning sounds like without mufflers? Will I lose HP without them?
Go w/ a true dual setup,remove the cats completely,if you dont want to do that,go w/ a set of high flow cats,the cats are very restrictive.Next,install an X pipe,this will help balance the exhaust pulses coming off the engine as well as scavange the hot exhaust gases from the engine,plus you’ll get the nice deep,raspy tone you want.If you want loud,get rid of the Borlas and install a set of the Flowmaster Super 44’s.These are the loudest muffler FM makes.Go to you tube and type Lightning exhaust in the search block,you’ll get an idea of what different set ups sound like.Hope this helps.
