Does anyone know wat a wake low is?
In the case you are referring, a wake low is a small but sometimes intense surface low pressure area that sometimes forms in the “wake” of a line of thunderstorms or squall line. It appears to form as a result of sinking air being warmed by compression. The cooled air within the squall line creates a small scale high pressure area while the sinking air just behind creates the wake low. This can create a localized intense pressure differential between the two pressure areas which can produce very strong winds.
