L’Oreal is working on a pill that will change the shape of the hair “bulb”. The bulb, according to them is what determines the shape of the hair. Hormones, apparently, can change the bulb shape and that is what they are working on. The pill will not straighten hair that has already grown, but all future hair will be straight (or curly – there will probably be a pill for that too). I have not found a name for the straighten pill. There are probably companies other than L’Oreal working on this.
