Does anyone know the email address of the directors of Monarch airlines?
i totaly agree 100% with the previous answer, here is a simple explantion of the flap system: they greatly increase the lift created by the wings enabling aircraft to approach the runway at a much slower speed, this provides a number of benefits them being: less runway requied, which save on the use of more than needed brakes and reverse power, so although it is a bonus having the slower speed, it is perfectly safe and possible for any airliner to land without them. and as the previous answer stated it is part of all pilot training. If you were able to somehow get the Director email address, i would doubt they would say anything more than sorry. It was a technical issue beyond the airlines or pilot control, he did his job getting you there safely. If the engineers on the ground after the first landing was not happy for that aircraft to fly he would now sign it off, as with anything electrical some can not work at one point and can 5 minutes later, it happens in your home PC and it can
