Your cat needs to be checked by a vet and then you make the decision on how to treat. Diabetes is NOT expensive once you get the initial things over with. I will go with the assumption your cat is diabetic. We also advocate that you are the only voice your cat has and you must be proactive in your cats care. DO NOT listen to poor advice from a vet who knows only what he learned in school 20 years ago in a 1 day class on feline diabetes and knows only what the pet food industry now tells him. . There are good and there are bad insulin choices. You do NOT start your cat on insulin over 1 unit twice a day. It is NOT determnined by weight in a cat.
