Does anyone know the cheapest PCs around which still are very decent (Windows XP, 512MB Ram etc?)?
I’d just like to echo the advice of the person who said, Dell. In my opinion, their products are excellent and come with a guarantee. I am using a laptop from Dell bought in September 2005. In some cases, their products have come down in price and there’s always an ‘event’ or ‘special offer’ worth looking at. Prices start at about £325 and, laptops, a little bit dearer. Go onto the Dell website and have a good browse. One bit of advice, though: You’ll be better off buying online than over the phone as I did. I didn’t have (or know anything about!) a computer when I ordered mine. The telephone service is dreadful, but the computers are A1, 100% GREAT!!!
