Does anyone know the best product or homeade remedy for sensitive skin (breast or other areas) undergoing radiation treatments for cancer for 7.5 weeks?
I had 6 weeks of radiation (breast, neck, chest) – I was given cream to apply right after the treatment….Biafine. I did it religiously, as directed. I did experience some burn at the “super clav” which is essentially the collar bone and neck area. The breast tissue (what was left) did remarkably well. For the area that burned, I was given other anitbiotic type creams, that didn’t offer relief. What did work was “Cool Gel Sheets”. You need an Rx for them, and they are a bit expensive, but definately worth it. The relief was almost instant. I bought the larger sheets, and cut to fit. I checked the net for you, and don’t see the product I got. Ask your Radiation Doc, again it was a Rx item.
