Richard James (The Aphex Twin) is notoriously difficult to contact. But I wouldn’t think there would be any legal issues in using his music for a student film. As long as you’re not profiting from it, or pretending that the music is yours, there isn’t actually a problem in using it. If you really need to contact him though, the best way would be to send an email to his record label.
