Does anyone know of any nice campground on a lake near Omaha NE?
Unfortunately, I found this: The Cunningham Lake campgrounds will be closed for the 2007 season due to Lake rehabilitation projects. Improvements will result in a cleaner, deeper lake and a healthier fishery. City campgrounds at N.P. Dodge Park will be open during the 2007 season, located at 11001 John J. Pershing Drive. Still, here’s a little info: Glenn Cunningham Lake Glenn Cunningham Lake 96th & State Streets (via I-680 North) (402) 444-4628 The 390 acre lake is surrounded by more than, 1,050 acres of park land in north central Omaha. The lake project opened to the public in 1977. Visitors enjoy picnicking, no-wake boating, hiking and bicycling on asphalt trails, nature study opportunities and fishing. Horseback riding is permitted on designated trails. The lake is a popular spot for windsurfing.
