I don’t have any experience with eczema myself but I do know quite a bit about home remedies. Apparently an oatmeal bath helps to reduce the itching, might be worth a try for a night time bath so he’s a little relieved before bed. You’ve probably tried this but just in case why not mix chamomile, sage, geranium and lavender essential oils with a little carrier oil and use as a massage oil on the worst effected areas. Also you could try Evening Primrose Oil, I’ve heard that helps reducing itching and encourages it to heal up a bit. Also I don’t know if this will help with the itching specifically but if you boost up his vitamin A intake and I don’t know if he’s too young for this but if you give him a B-complex supplement everyday that should help too but its also in peanuts, meat, fish and pulses so that might be better than a supplement. The final thing I can suggest is trying to get him to drink anti-inflammatory herbal teas. The obvious one being chamomile but also marigold and red
