There are a couple of different kinds of train systems in the US. Amtrak is long distance inter-city in the USA, VIA Rail Canada is the one in Canada. They stop to let people on and off. There’s also commuter rail, going from suburbs to cities. There’s also tourist trains, where you go someplace scenic and come back. Some are an hour or two, others are longer. Check this link. http://www.railsusa.com/links/Tourist_Ra… There used to be the American Orient Express, but they are no longer in business. You stayed on the train for a few days, the train stopped at scenic locations for tours, then everyone got back on and the train left for the next stop. Sort like a cruise. The Lake Shore Limited and Empire Service go from Buffalo to Albany and NYC. It’s a very scenic ride. VIA Rail has routes from Toronto to Windsor, Toronto to Montreal, and Toronto to Niagara Falls.
