Does anyone know of any apprenticeships in plumbing, electrics or carpentry in the Birmingham/Midlands area?
You’re looking in the wrong place. You need to go to the local Careers Service office (possibly called ‘Connexions’ in your area) as they have ALL the apprenticeships for 16-18 yr old school leavers. Unfortunately, this is the wrong time of the year to be looking. Apprenticeships are advertised with the Careers Service and in local papers in January/ February and sometimes March of each year. They interview then and make offers based on August’s GCSE results. Call in to Careers / Connexions and ask to speak to an adviser. It’s free. You may be unlucky this year but you could then look in the New Year. Good luck.
