Does anyone know of a really good odor absorber for a musty smell?
The scent of mold or fungus is not your real problem. SPORACLEAN (sp) is a newer type of cleaner for your situation. Bleach will not kill the main cause of the odor; in addition, bleach is a very environmentally toxic liquid. Old remedies have been upgraded to more efficient and permanent ones. Depending upon the extent of your problem, you can either clean the (small) offending areas, or, if the mold or fungus is widespread, you may have to move completely out of your house and have it redone. That seems like a huge undertaking, but many people have had to do it, especially in the more humid parts of the US. Your health and that of your loved ones may be very much at risk. I’m very sorry to hear you have that problem–though I don’t know how severe it is. Did it begin as a cause of any hurricane or water leaking and pooling? Do you keep your gutters clear of any debris.
