Does anyone know of a “natural” painkiller that stops strong pain?
White willow bark tea. It is the original ‘aspirin’. If there isn’t a health food store nearby with fresh bark, go to a white willow tree, remove the outer bark and scrape of some of the inner bark. Dry that (not using heat) and steep it in hot water for a painkilling tea. The link shows what a white willow looks like. A white willow tea can be prepared from 1-2 grams of bark boiled in 200 ml of water for ten minutes. Five or more cups of this tea can be drunk per day. Tincture is also used, commonly in the amount of 1-2 ml three times per day. Willow extracts standardized for salicin content are also available. The daily intake of salicin is typically 60-120 mg per day. Use the same medical cautions you would when taking aspirin (not for children under 12 with fevers and etc.) EDIT: I just read the answer above me. I’d forgotten about cherry, both are very good.
