I don’t know of any commercial units but the MCU protocol does contain channel level information that has been utilised in some MidiBoxLC projects: MIDIbox LC The MIDIbox Gallery – Category ‘midibox_lc’ Redesigned MIDIbox of the Year (3xMIDIbox LC of Axel) A quick search revealed someone who has built a standalone meter/display unit for a Tascam US-2400 based on the same system (just minus the knobs/faders/buttons): Regieraum From memory the response of the channel level meters via MCU protocol is a bit slow (presumably because its driven by MIDI), but otherwise it works and can be built if you’re handy with a soldering iron.
