Does anyone know of a good Earth Science SOL?
I’m guessing that SOL stands for “Standards of Learning.” Ideas: 1. Reduce/Reuse/Recycle Students will: Discover which kinds of trash does or does not break down naturally. Brainstorm other methods for handling solid waste that could alleviate problems associated with landfill sites, depletion of natural resources and rising costs. Make suggestions for effective handling of organic, reusable, and recyclable solid waste. 2. How a bean grows Students will: Recognize the parts of a plant and their functions. Investigate and explore the development of plants. Use oral language skills to describe plant growth. Determine that new plants can be generated from seeds. 3. The Tropical Rainforest Students will be able to identify the layers of the rainforest and the various types of animals the layers support. 4. The Water Cycle: Condensation Students will: Learn what clouds are made of and how they are made. Learn that there are different types of clouds. Learn that water droplets which form on
