I know you mention "cheap" hotel close to KL I don't know how long you will be staying in KL, but would HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend the Pan Pacific It is 600 metres literally IN the airport AND a bonus, you can check in FROM the airport the staff are warm and friendly and the food is GREAT! Cannot speak high enough about the place!
