Crohn’s disease is a long-term bowel disease with inflammation. The cause is unknown. Also called regional enteritis, its symptoms include many attacks of diarrhea, severe stomach pain, nausea, fever, ch8ills, weakness, and appetite and weight loss.Children with the disease often have slowed growth. The diagnosis of Crohn’s disease is based on symptoms, x-ray studies and a special test (endoscopy). The disease is easily confused with ulcerative colitis.
