Does anyone know if you have to pay sales tax when buying songs from Itunes?

When you purchase things from out of state or over the internet generally you are not charged sales tax. That goes for Itunes also. Here in my state, North Carolina, we are supposed to pay that sales tax when we file our state tax return every year. How many people do you think do that? It is probably pretty simular in your state. Some companies, very few (Itunes not one), will charge you the sales tax on behalf of the state. But only certain states have very aggressive tax laws and enforcement like that. One day we will all see it, sales tax on out of state purchases, I really think it’s going to be another 10 years or so. There is just to many other things the states are worrying about other than that 50 cent or dollar from here or there.

What is your question?
