Does anyone know if the “Netspend” free prepaid credit card is a scam, or if its legit?
It’s not really free and it’s a debit, not a credit, card. There are charges to use it. If you have a checking account, you’d be better off getting a free debit card from your bank. This means it is completely powered by your money. There is no credit card bill to pay at the end of the month, no late fees, no risk of going into debt. This debit card works just like a bank-issued debit card, only better. First, you’ll need to load money onto your debit card. Then you’ll be able to make purchases in stores, shop on the Internet, and pay your bills. Unlike a bank-issued debit card, you do not have to worry about overdraft fees. You can only spend what is in you have loaded onto your FDIC insured account. You can select a fee plan based on how often you use your card.” .
