I’m not sure if the 3-in-1 car seat is FAA approved- but if it’s approved (and it is) by the safety tests for auto use- it’s more than adequate for air travel. Depending on how long your flight is you may want to get your baby her own seat. If the flight is 2 hours or less- then lap sit her. If it’s longer…you’ll appreciate her in her own seat (yes it would be worth the hassle of lugging the car seat around- they have wheeled carriers at the airport to help you carry everything!
