Does anyone know if Supernatural Season 1 DVDs come with English subtitles?
I don’t know whether it will have English subtitles, but it will almost certainly have closed captioning in English. Almost all televisions made in the last 15 years or so will have the ability to view closed captions. Check in your Menu for Caption and select C1 or Channel 1 or Caption 1 or whatever your television calls it. You shouldn’t have to do anything special with your DVD player for this. Windows Media Player and other computer video players should also be able to display the captions, just look around in your menu options. Captions are slightly different than subtitles, of course. True captions will have the sound effects included, but I do like them better than subtitles. At least when care is taken to position them on the screen so they’re not covering up important information. Hope this helps!
