From the FDA site: Neonates exposed to Sertraline and other SSRIs or SNRIs, late in the third trimester have developed complications requiring prolonged hospitalization, respiratory support, and tube feeding. These findings are based on postmarketing reports. Such complications can arise immediately upon delivery. Reported clinical findings have included respiratory distress, cyanosis, apnea, seizures, temperature instability, feeding difficulty, vomiting, hypoglycemia, hypotonia, hypertonia, hyperreflexia, tremor, jitteriness, irritability, and constant crying. These features are consistent with either a direct toxic effect of SSRIs and SNRIs or, possibly, a drug discontinuation syndrome. There is more. http://www.drugs.com/pro/sertraline.html a little more than half way down the page is Pregancy stuff.

It is hard to know whether ANYTHING is good to take during pregnancy. My best answer would be NO. You would probably benefit from talking to your doctor right away about the med and pregnancy, and also consulting with a pharmacist. So many drugs can result in horrendous problems for the forming baby and the mother during this special time. Call your doctor and simply ask. If you are still not satisfied, seek further help. There is nothing more important than a healthy baby and mother.
