Does anyone know if Northern Ireland predominatly search on Google.co.uk or Google.ie?

I assume, given that Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, they would use .co.uk but I’m putting together a proposal for a Northern Irish company so i’d like to base it on more than assumptions. To further complicate things, i’ve just discovered Google-ni.com but this seems to bring up mostly .co.uk results.
