Does anyone know if laser hair removal can alter sweat glands?

I got this done to my underarms (I’m on my 4th treatment) and it seems like I’ve been sweating a lot more than ever before. I’ve read that the sweat glands are too far into the skin to be altered but I’ve also read that they can be altered anyway so I’m not sure. It may just be a coincidence.
