Does anyone know if Fairbanks Morse made aircraft grade magnetos?
Can’t think of too many WWII single-engine piston aircraft with impulse magnetos…. Bendix, American Bosch, Apollo Magneto, Edison Splitdorf & Eisemann were the major aircraft magneto suppliers in WWII. I cannot see Fairbanks-Morse magnetos in the 1942 ‘Aerosphere’ book which is as good a reference as you’ll find for WWII aero matters. Fairbanks-Morse have an entry in the book, but not for magnetos.
