Money orders are one of the safest ways to track and send money. 1.- you should have a small section of the original money order or receipt with the money order number on it. 2- Go to the Post Office, bank or institution that provided the money order and ask them to track that order down. They will help you fill out a form and track it down for you. 3- They will then be able to tell you if that numbered money order had been cashed, where, the date and sometimes who signed for it. 4. If it is a bank money order/cheque they may be able to track it down on their computer straight away. Go to General Enquiries, not the Teller section. 5. If they find it has gone missing in the post, transaction, whatever; they will re-issue you another one without having to pay for the fee you originally had to pay. 6.
