Play dough recipe: 1 cup Flour 2 teaspoons Cream of tartar 1/4 cup table Salt 1 cup warm Water 1-2 teaspoon Oil Food coloring If the kids are getting invloved let them measure out the first three ingredients and let them stir these together in a medium-sized saucepan. Step 2 Over medium heat, gradually stir in 1 cup of water, 1 teaspoon of food coloring, and 1-2 teaspoons of oil. Step 3 Cook over low to medium heat (best in a non stick pan), stirring continually, until the mixture forms into a gooey ball. Keep stirring, it doesn’t take long. The mixture will burn on the bottom if you aren’t careful and you’ll have to soak it off. Step 4 Remove the pan from the heat. Step 5 Let the dough cool for 15-30 minutes before your kids play with it. Keep the dough in an air-tight plastic bowl when not in use. Will last for a good while.
