Does anyone know how to make bread and butter pudding?
Eight slices buttered white bread – slices removed cut into quarters and laid into a buttered dish in layers, successively being sprinkled with caster sugar and washed sultanas and raisins, when all of the bread has been used up, whisk three eggs and a pint of milk, with vanilla extract if desired, pour over, allow the bread to soak it up a bit, then bake at Mark 4 for about an hour until set. I will ignore the thumbs down merchant……
