Does anyone know how to get from the greenwhich village area to 42nd street port authority?
I agree that the A train will work for you, but if you’re in Greenwich Village, the stop at West 14th Street will probably be a bit of a walk. The station that will likely be more convenient is the one at West 4th Street and 6th Avenue, which is more central in Greenwich Village. Here’s an official list, from the subway website, of the stations that the A train stops at: http://www.mta.info/nyct/service/aline.h… Just print it off, put it in your pocket, and when you’re finished with your time in Greenwich Village, look to see which is the closest station. If you’re unsure, any restaurant waiter or store clerk should be able to tell you, plus the quickest way to walk there. Get on the A train heading “Uptown” and get off at the West 42nd Street/Port Authority station.
