They should return your old passport and send you a new one. The two will be sent separately. I would check the status of your application online here; http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/status/status_2567.html and then call the passport agency if it appears your should have received your passport or if there is a problem. Contact numbers: http://travel.state.gov/passport/about/npic/npic_898.html I realize this reply is late and appologize, but hey my husband waiting over 6 months for his passport it could still be useful information to you.
