Does anyone know how to correctly hold a royal/ball python?

Always hold a snake in two places. Somewhere in the middle and depending on the size of the snake… about 12 inches from the head, (on a small one, one place is ok but keep the other hand under it so if they start moving they don’t fall) they like to feel some support under them. Be prepared for them to wrap around your arm or wrist with thier tail… they do it to hold on. A Ball Python is not strong enough to hurt you, although it may seem like they are squeezing. I hold mine around my neck a lot, he likes the warmth and to see what is going on… my kids call it his backpack style hold when he wraps his tail under your arm to hold on when he is on one of our necks. One note: with a new snake, handle gently and let him get used to you and his new surroundings slowly… it can take them a little while to adjust.
