Does anyone know how to convert cups into imperial or metric?
A cup is a unit of volume but ingredients are usually (in the UK) measured in weights. This means that there is no simple conversion from cups to weights (whether metric or imperial) because the same volume of different things (eg flour and sugar) weigh different amounts. If you simply want a conversion of a cup to a metric or imperial unit of volume then, according to Google, a cup is 236.5ml or 8.3 fluid ounces. It won’t matter if you are not exactly right as long as you are consistent. EG as long as you get the proportions right it won’t matter if you make a bit more or a bit less than the original recipe suggests. Btw, google will do conversions for you. Try googling cup in ml.
