Does anyone know current food prices in Haiti?
Hi, first I would like to say that it is really nice what you’re doing. I currently live in Haiti, P-au-P more specificaly, Im at work right now so I will not be able to give you extremely specific information but i will give you an idea. I will like to do that:-) Food in Haiti is about as expensive as food in the united states and is getting more expensive the exchange rate is about 7.5 haitian dollars= 1 American dollar ( but it changes everyday) here are the prices of some commonly used food items: a 1 gallong container of vegetable oil is about 40 haitian dollars a 50kg sac of rice is about 258 Haitian dollars a box of generic cereal is 22 haitian dollars a really small can of evaporated milk is three haitian dollars food prices in Haiti change often, but thats what those tiems cost me the last time i bought them Hope I helped !
