Ignore the previous answer from Klarr761. Volvox is NOT made up of bacteria, nor does it move using microvili: most of the cells have two flagella. It is a colonial eukaryotic alga, closely related to Chlamydomonas. There is a good initial description on Wikipedia, with links to other sites http://en.wikipedia.
