Does anyone know anything about The Masons?
The Masons are a civic organization similar to the Owls, the Lions, the Rotary, the Eagles, the Moose, the Shriners, the Knights of Columbus, the Loyal Order of Hibernians – all of which have private meetings and rituals and which exclude non-members. So too the various veterans organizations here in the USA – the American Legion, the VFW, the Marine Corps League, the Vietnam Veterans of America, DAV… The Masons are sometimes suspect because they’ve been around for so very long, have been successful at keeping many of their private rites and rituals secret, and have included as members such people as George Washington and others among our “Founding Fathers”. I have several friends who are Masons, and though not a Mason myself, I see them behaving as loyal citizens, highly moral gentlemen and devoted fathers and teachers.
