The Church Universal and Triumphant……makes use of these Ascended Masters in their dogma. These would be considered different from what you would can a spirit guide. The founders of C.U.T (the prophets, not sure if that’s their name or title or both) claim that they receive messages/directions from the Ascended Masters, but spirit guides are supposedly far less formal, with people experiencing a feeling or intuition.
