Does anyone know anything about Oklahoma City?
I’ve lived in or near OKC for 27 of my 30 years. It has it’s pros and cons just like any city. Pros: Wide open spaces, extremely low cost of living, great job market compared to the rest of the country, a growing and revitalized downtown area with a brand new NBA team, (Go figure, tax increases can actually do good things). Oh, and the Sooners are awesome! Cons: Not the most exciting city in the country, which many believe is one cause for our high teen pregnancy rate. Democrats are few and far between. I should know, I am one. This state is so right wing, McCain won the state in a landslide, as did our distinguished Senator James “global warming is [a] hoax” Inhofe. Despite those cons, however, after living in NYC for three years, I came to realize that OKC was my home and I had to come back. I’ll always support this state, even if I am surrounded by rednecks.
