It simply isn’t worth the money if you have intelligence, are willing to price shop and negotiate for what you need or want. The discounts they offer are from the top down not cost up. We, for example, worked cost plus 30% whereas direct buy and other retailers work MSRP minus 40% which is already 60% above cost. There is no real savings there. Plus, you are heading into the time when the lines are changing and if you do not mind having last year’s design, last year’s model or last year’s features, there are way better bargains at year end when retailers need to rid themselves of inventory that they don’t want to pay taxes on come year end. That can even blow away what sales are throughout most of the year because they will cut closer to the bone of their real costs.
