the water for gas gig actually decreased fuel economy in the few cars it has been tested on in the u.s.- hydrogen, however would be an ideal replacement for diesel (in big trucks) as it has practically the same btu’s and burns even cooler, which would reduce oil consumption, and extend engine life. methane from landfills is also a possible future source of power, perhaps not for vehicles, but homes (johnson and johnson an evil american corporation powers a few of its plants off this source over here already) solar would be good for home power there. and even better once voltaic cells are produced en masse, cheaply. by the way, i’m an evil conservative libertarian “unconcerned” with drowning polar bears and starving lion seals…
