Does anyone know any motivational songs for kids, not religious?
You should ask them. I remember 5th and 6th grade and trust me, we all hated it when a teacher would make us do something that we didn’t want to do, especially if it was kind of juvenile – which many 11-12 year olds think of singing. So if I were you, I would maybe have them make something up, and make sure it’s kind of funny, that usually goes over better. My 6th grade teacher was one of my favorite teachers because she knew all of our jokes and other little quirks, it was like our classroom was a big group of friends and we had our own inside jokes that the other classes didn’t know. It gave us a sense of unity. We probably had a song, but I don’t quite remember, but you should definately have them make it up or atleast get their input. Also, a teacher at my school now has a special “You Are Now Smart” ceremony and a bunch of funny songs, and we’re a bunch of 15 year olds! So, go for it!
