Does anyone know any information about bcoming an uchi deshi in kyokushin karate?
A quick google search of kyokushin karate produced page after page of results. I am certain that if you googled that plus your state, and possibly town, you could find a Dojo in your area. I have never personally known of any uchi deshi in America, though. I put in “uchi deshi kyokushin karate” and did get some results, all look like it is going to be very hard to do. Good luck… I would imagine your goal would be hard to achieve. That would be quite the experience. I know some Masters and Grandmasters who will take dedicated students into their Dojangs/Daguans/Dojos for free or a reduced cost if they were poor… mine did. My Grandmaster was trained in an actual monastery in Korea… the old way. I would have loved to have a chance to be an uchi deshi.
