Does anyone know any good halloween recipes?
My favorite is one particular recipe for Witches’ Brew (believe me, there are several but this is the one I love). I got the recipe from the PIL (Publications International Ltd.) 2002 Favorite Brand Name Recipes “Frightfully Festive Halloween Recipes & Party Ideas” sampler, though you can find it in PIL’s “Frightfully Fun Halloween Crafts & Cooking” ringbound book for 2009 (try checking Target for the book) “Witches’ Brew 2 cups apple cider 1 1/2 to 2 cups vanilla ice cream (may substitute a reduced fat or fat free ice cream for regular ice cream or a frozen yogurt) 2 tablespoons honey 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and sprinkle with additional nutmeg. Serve immediately. Makes 4 six ounce servings.” I never add the additional nutmeg, the 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg is plenty as you can taste it.
