Does anyone know any ASL (American Sign Language) activities/groups?

Elitist.” A. says: So I’m conversationally fluent (if not beautiful) in ASL sign, but I don’t know any Deaf people in town – and in a couple of months, my best Deaf friend is coming to visit – I had a nightmare that I couldn’t talk to her anymore. Gah! Basically, I don’t want to lose my sign. That happens when you don’t use the language. Does anyone know of any deafies who are cool and would want to hang out? Signing groups? I don’t want to make friends strictly to practice my sign – that seems rude – but I wouldn’t mind meeting a few people to see if we hit it off. 😉 Thanks for any info! I’ve tried Meetup.Com – they got nothing. (I find them generally slightly lame for this kind of thing, but that’s another story).
