Does anyone know an honest coin dealer in China?
I have not found any and buy most of my Chinese coins from dealers here in the states that guarantee they are real. The two I do business with have been selling Asian coins for a good many years and are pro’s in the field. When it comes to coins there are few deals out there and like most things if it sounds to good to be true it usually is. The united States as well as other countries has been hit by a lot of fake and fantasy coins made in China. Some are so bad even a novice collector can tell they are fakes, I have seen some though that are very close to the real thing and it takes someone with knowledge to tell. I picked up a coin that had an 1845 date, it was a Seated Librty Dollar on the Obcerse but the reverse was of a Trade dollar. The trade dollar was first minted in 1870 which was 25 years later. I do hope you find someone but it may a tough job and not worth all the hassel.
