Does anyone know an alternative way of dealing with problem neighbours?
Hello Kerrie, I know this is a very lengthy reply to your question but please try to read it all. I certainly do not wish to worry you but I feel that you are in a very serious position. The law is quite strict with regard to nuisance neighbours, but it is getting the authorities to actually act which is the problem, as you have already found out. In the first instance, if you are living in rented accommodation, either private, council or a housing association, they are the ones who are responsible for you being able to live in your home without these problems. Your first move should be to inform the council about the health risks because your neighbour allows her waste to sit in the hallway for weeks. Point out the fact that you have 2 children and are expecting a third and you are concerned about their and your health.
