Does anyone know about Jimmy Choo shoes?
Jimmy Choo studied at Cordwainers college and then set up his own workshop making shoes – Pincess Diana was one of his biggest clients. In 1994 he set up the eponymous company with Tamara Mellon who was then Accessories Editor of Vogue. Since then the shoes have shot to the top of the wishlist of every fashion fan – they litter the red carpet and wardrobes of a whole array of celebrities. The business itself is now huge with around 50 across the globe, as well as being stocked in the biggest department stores. The brand has also expanded to produce bags. Jimmy Choo himself sold his stake in the business in 2001 and now concentrates his energy on producing the Jimmy Choo Couture line. Tamara Mellon is still head of the ready-to-wear collection.
