Does anyone know about combi boilers?
The problem with these boiler that you get from the sheds is what do you do when it stops working. who stocks the spares |You may find yourself tied to the manufactures service engineers when it needs fixing. Some manufactures ar going along the road that they want any thing up to £ 200 for a service call this will cover the cost of 2 components and fitting but NOT include the PCB or main heat exchanger. The service department will require a credit card before a service call is booked. Be warned buy cheep pay later. Go for a Worcester, Vaillant, Baxi or one of the more well known makes. Replacing a combi should cost no more than £ 500 The numbers 24 28 32 35 is the Kw. input for the domestic hot water 24 kw will give 1.8 gall/min (8 min fill the bath) 35 Kw for two bathroom houses 3.0 gal /min ( 4.5 min fill bath ) Would suggest 28 Kw for an average house.
