Does anyone know about Avira anti virus?
Hi, this has happened to me with Avira and I still have remnants of it on my computer. You have to remove it completely and download it again to be able to use it. I would download Win Patrol (free) and look in Start up and see if you see anything with Avira highlight and click on ‘kill’ task. Do the same with Active Tasks and highlight and click ‘remove’. Then you should reboot and hopefully this will clear it out. If this doesnt work I would recommend downloading Microsoft Security Essentials which is what I have had to do and it is a fantastic product and is as good as Avira and is also free of charge.
