Public liability is only neccesary if you have an office (or premisis) that is publicly accessible OR you have “employees” actively collecting in the community. Every insurance provider will have different rates, depending on how much coverage you need and your business type (e.g. how large the risk of a claim being made, etc) so you should probably contact a few different insurance companies and get a few quotes (they should be free or the company isn’t worth dealing with).
